TITAN project in which Slot Consulting is involved (Work Package 1 leader) held a successful workshop in Brussels on the 17th of March. TITAN project deals with the optimisation of the airport turnaround process. The main objectives of the workshop were the presentation of the TITAN project and the TITAN Consortium to the attendees, the detection of the stakeholders' problems, needs and gaps during the turnaround process and to share experiences among the stakeholders in order to identify possible solutions to the previously discussed problems. This event gave an important feedback to the Consortium and helped its work in the effective continuation. |

Slot Consulting Ltd. as the Hungarian partner of AeroPortal Project (www.aeroportal.eu) will organize a one-day training event about the FP7 project proposal preparation practical side. The event is free of charge since the main goal and duty of the AeroPortal Project is to give free of charge support for SMEs (and universities) in the field of aeronautics. During the training we will present the structure and the background mechanisms of FP7, we will announce the 3rd aeronautical call's topics and will talk about the project preparation methodology of AeroPortal and more deeply the important rules of completing a project proposal. We will mention tips and tricks, experiences about project preparation and coordination, format and content requirements, evaluation process and evaluators' aspect. Official launch of the ATOM Project. The ATOM (Airport detection and Tracking Of dangerous Materials by passive and active sensors arrays) Project consists of developing a security system for airports that can continuously scan the terminal building and detect hazardous materials form distance, without disturbing the passenger flow. |

The kick-of meeting of the MONITOR Project was held on the 3rd of June 2009 in Cologne, Germany at the DLR facilities (Porz-Wahnheide, Germany). Slot Consulting will take part in the information collection, material preparation and dissemination activities. |

Official launch of the MONITOR Project (Monitoring System of the Development of Global Aviation). The work of MONITOR will consist of developing a Monitoring System that collects, processes and analyses relevant data of the global air transport system and takes care for an effective dissemination of results. This project aims at refreshing a former aviation emission study in order to estimate the likely emissions and aviation impact in the future. |

CEARES Project (of which Slot Consulting is coordinator) has successfully held its second workshop on the 18th and 19th of May 2009 in Zilina, Slovakia. The meeting entitled “Research Potentials and Perspectives of the Central European Area” attracted many of the CEARES Network Members and even other participants. |
